A flame-red burst of Spanish music and dance will once again brighten chilly Clerkenwell next February, as the Sadler's Wells Flamenco Festival returns for another run in what is now a hugely popular date in the winter schedule. "The Flamenco Festival is now an eagerly awaited annual fixture" says the Daily Express.
The seven sets of dates on Tuesday 8th February, closing eleven days later on 19th February, and include shows from Estrella Morente (8th Feb), Israel Galván 'La Edad de Oro'(9th Feb) and Miguel Poveda 'Recital Flamenco' (10th Feb) before three dates from Compañía Aída Gómez, starring Aída Gómez as Carmen (11th - 13th Feb).
Tuesday February 15 welcomes 26-year-old rising star Rocío Molina peforming 'Cuando las Piedras Vuelen', followed by world-renowned flamenco guitarist Tomatito who will be joined by two singers, one percussionist and gypsy dancer José Maya a night later.
The festival closes with Eva Yerbabuena returning to Sadler's Wells in a brand new show. The Times said Yerbabuena is "touched by greatness" and Eva Yerbabuena - Ballet Flamenco runs for three nights from Thursday February 17th.
From the stunning voices of Estrella Morente and Miguel Poveda, to what promises to be unforgettable performances from Aída Gómez and Eva Yerbabuena, once again the Sadler's Wells Flamenco Festival will bring vibrant colour to London's greyest month.
