Mini Album Review

With over 10,000 pre-orders of their mini-album and the press positively latching on, theres already a buzz around Manchester bred The Cape Race. And although the band have chosen to give Now, Voyager away for free, one listen and it proves to be more than worthy of your time and money.

Opener Little Whites and second track Theyre Young, Theyre In Love are able to be both addictively catchy whilst still maintaining lyrics that are more than commendable for a sing-along. Thankfully this is an ongoing theme, as the impression that each lyric has been carefully constructed is prominent throughout. Combining this with Maloneys vocals shows the band are a double threat, highlighted to its best in Bets and title track Now, Voyager, which draws the mini-album perfectly to a close, giving a more heartfelt feel and adding another string to the bands song writing bow.

In only six songs The Cape Race unquestionably show the range of their talents, provoking excitement as to what this band could do given the space of a full length album.
