Is it really possible that it was just one year ago (almost to the day) that Rudimental headed-out on their first UK dates on the back of hit single "Feel the Love", featuring John Newman on vocals and a rather tasty, ambient video? Those first few dates sold out, as has every other date they have played in the UK since. Their forthcoming October UK tour? Sold out. Their stint at Manchester's Warehouse Project in October? Sold out.
In fact, this year, the only way to get some Rudimental live action (if you don't have tickets to any of the tour dates) is to catch them at the Stephen Lawrence memorial gig at the O2 Arena in September or behind the decks at Brownstock Festival 2013 or Newcastle, Brighton and Bristol at the end of the year.
Now, back to that ambient "Feel the Love" video: one thing that has remained constant throughout their releases (apart from the banging music itself) are the amazing videos, with the inspirational, goosebump-inducing one for "Waiting All Night", featuring the trials-and-tribulations of BMX-er Kurt Yaeger, being my personal fave. And the kung-fu video for "Right Here"? Wow! (watch it, above).
The aforementioned tracks can all be found on the number album 'Home', and you will once again have the chance to get your hands on Rudimental tickets with their short February 2014 UK tour, which includes two dates at the Brixton Academy on 14th and 15th February, then Manchester, Glasgow and Wolverhampton.
Tickets on sale now, priced from £18.
