British electronic pop outfit formed in 1988 by New Order's Bernard Sumner and ex-Smiths guitarist and songwriter Johnny Marr.
The duo released their self-titled debut-album in 1991, some eighteen months after debut-single "Getting Away With It" (recorded with Pet Shop Boys' Neil Tennant).
Other releases include the albums "Raise the Pressure" and "Twisted Tenderness", as well as the singles "Get The Message", "Disappointed" (again with Tennant" and "Forbidden City".
