English bass player, singer and songwriter originally from Pink Floyd.
Upon the late Syd Barrett's departure from Pink Floyd in 1968, Roger became the chief lyricist and songwriter, leading the band to their most successful period, which spawned the hit albums 'The Dark Side of the Moon', 'Wish You Were Here' and 'The Wall'.
His own solo work includes the 1984 debut album: "The Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking", plus: "Radio K.A.O.S." (1987), "Amused to Death" (1992), "Ça Ira" (2005) and 2017's: "Is This the Life We Really Want?".
He toured "The Wall" live in 2011 and 2013 and key Floyd albums during his Us and Them tour in 2017/18 and then his "first farewell tour", "This Is Not a Drill" in 2022/23.
