Louisiana-born blues guitarist and a considerable influence on Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page and Jimi Hendrix amongst others.
He is an exponent of the electric Chicago blues and has won six Grammy awards.
His first releases were as part of the Junior Wells Band in the mid-60s.
Solo albums include the Grammy-winning: "Damn Right, I've Got the Blues" (1991), "Feels Like Rain" (1993), "Slippin' In" (1994), "Blues Singer" (2003), "Living Proof" (2010) and 2015's "Born to Play Guitar".
