Progressive rock singer and songwriter from Midlothian who fronted the successful band, Marillion, until 1988 (real name Derek Dick).
Since going solo, he has achieved a few minor hits with 'Credo', 'The Big Wedge' and 'Internal Exile' and has continued to release dozens of studio/live albums, such as "Vigil In A Wilderness Of Mirrors", "Internal Exile", "Field of Crows" and "Feast Of Consequences".
He proposed a farewell tour for 2025.
