Attila the Stockbroker

Sussex-born punk-poet and comedic singer-songwriter whose signature character in many of his earlier works is 'Nigel'. He was the archetypal warm-up for many 70s / 80s punk and new-wave gigs and was part of the punk-poet movement alongside Seething Wells, John Cooper Clarke and Phill Jupitus.

His key releases are the Cherry Red releases "Cocktails" and "Ranting At The Nation", a duet with ex-Mayor of London Ken Livingstone (called the "Livingstone Rap" - it was about the politician's love of rodents) and his later Barnstormer recordings including 2020's 1649 album.

He has released a handful of books including the classic "Cautionary Tales For Dead Commuters" (with S. Wells), his 2015 autobiography, "Arguments Yard" and has played every Glasto since 82!
