Janet Jackson is a multi award-winning American singer and performer from the Jackson family who began a successful chart-career during the mid-'80s.

Her albums "Control" and "Rhythm Nation" set the tone with R&B and rap influences on the hits "What Have You Done For Me Lately", "Nasty", "When I Think Of You", "Control", "Rhythm Nation" and "Let's Wait Awhile". Later successes include "That's The Way Love Goes", "If", "Runaway" and "No Sleeep".

She released her debut album, "Janet Jackson" in 1982, followed by: "Dream Street" (1984), "Control" (1986), "Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation 1814" (1989), "Janet" (1993), "The Velvet Rope" (1997), "All for You" (2001), "Damita Jo" (2004), "20 Y.O." (2006), "Discipline" (2008), plus 2015's: "Unbreakable".
