Los Angeles-based successful rock band formed in 1985 and fronted by Axl Rose. Key ex-members include Slash, Izzy Stradlin and Duff McKagan.
Their debut album 'Appetite For Destruction' was released in 1987 and promptly fired them into the mainstream. Their big hits have included 'Sweet Child O'Mine', 'Welcome To The Jungle', 'Paradise City', 'Knockin On Heaven's Door' and 'November Rain'.
They released follow-up album, "G N' R Lies" in 1988, plus: "Use Your Illusion II" (1991), "Use Your Illusion I" (1991), "The Spaghetti Incident?" (1993), plus 2008's comeback album, : "Chinese Democracy".
After their lengthy hiatus and the release of Chinese Democracy, founder members, Axl, Duff McKagan and Slash reunited in 2016 and have been touring since.
