The Bee Gees began in the late 1950s and Robin was a constant member apart from a period in the 1960s when he enjoyed a short but successful solo career.

In 2012, Gibb wrote The Titanic Requiem with his son RJ, to mark 100 years since the ship sank.

Robin died in May 2012 following a lengthy battle with cancer.
