IQ are a British prog-rock band from Southampton, formed in 1981

As of 2019, the line-up includes founder members Michael Holmes on guitar and Tim Esau on bass as well as Paul Cook - drums, Neil Durant - keyboards and Peter Nicholls - vocals.
They released their debut album, "Tales from the Lush Attic" in 1983, followed by: "The Wake" (1985), "Nomzamo" (1987), "Are You Sitting Comfortably?" (1989), "Ever" (1993), "Subterranea" (1997), "Seven Stories into '98" (1998), "The Seventh House" (2000), "Dark Matter" (2004), "Frequency" (2009), plus 2014's: "The Road of Bones".
