The Style Council

The Style Council were a UK band formed in the ashes of the breakup of the Jam in 1983. The band featured singer, songwriter and guitarist, Paul Weller, keyboard player Mick Talbot, singer Tracie Young and drummer Steve White.

Hits included: "You're the Best Thing", "Walls Come Tumbling Down!", "Long Hot Summer" and "Speak Like a Child", among others.

They released their debut album, "Café Bleu" in 1984, followed by: "Our Favourite Shop" (1985), "The Cost of Loving" (1987), "Confessions of a Pop Group" (1988), plus 1998's: "Modernism: A New Decade".
