Bobby Womack

[1944 − 2014] Late American soul and funk singer and songwriter, active since the '60s and formerly of The Valentinos and brother of Cecil (of the duo Womack & Womack).

His initial success was in the States with tracks such as "California Dreamin'", "How I Miss You Baby", "Woman's Gotta Have It" and "Across 110th Street" (used in the Tarantino film, "Jackie Brown").

In the '80s and '90s, Womack collaborated with Living In A Box and Lulu, before appearing on Gorillaz' 2010 album "Plastic Beach" and releasing another well-received solo album, 2012's "The Bravest Man In The Universe".
