Brighton-based folk-punk-anarcho band formed in 1988.
Key members include Mark Chadwick - vocals, guitar and harmonica, Simon Friend - guitar, banjo, mandolin and vocals, Jeremy Cunningham - bass guitar and vocals, Jonathan Sevink - fiddle, Charlie Heather - drums and Matt Savage - keyboards.
Their debut album appeared in 1990, entitled 'A Weapon Called The Word', although their key release was the song "One Way" and its parent-album "Levelling The Land" in 1991.
They chalked up numerous hits in the mid-90's including "Hope Street", "Julie", "15 Years", "Just The One" and "What A Beautiful Day".
