Berlin-based experimental electronica band, featuring Blixa Bargeld, Alexander Hacke, N.U. Unruh, Jochen Arbeit and Rudi Moser.
They formed part of the popular 'Industrial' scene of the 80s, using hand-built instruments made of scrap-metal, often played with angle-grinders, chainsaws and mallets (as well as synths, machines and guitars).
Key releases include "Kollaps", "Halber Mensch" and "Tabula Rasa".
Later material has been an influence on Depeche Mode and Nine Inch Nails' more electronic output.
