Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah is a New York-based multi award-winning, Grammy-nominated trumpet player, composer and actor originally from New Orleans. He fronts Chief Xian aTunde Adjuah (formerly: The Christian Scott Quintet).
Christian is also the nephew of jazz alto saxophonist Donald Harrison Jr, with whom his has collaborated on numerous albums. Other notable collaborations include Price (Planet Earth), Marcus Miller (Tutu Revisited) and David Benoit (Charlie Brown TV Themes).
He released his debut eponymous album in 2002, followed by "Two of a Kind" (2004, featuring Donald Harrison), "Rewind That" (2006), "Anthem" (2007), "Yesterday You Said Tomorrow" (2010), "Ninety Miles" (2011), "Christian aTunde Adjuah" (2012), "Stretch Music" (2015), "Ruler Rebel", "Diaspora", "The Emancipation Procrastination" (2017, as part of the Centennial Trilogy), "Ancestral Recall" (2019), plus 2020's: "Axiom".
