WAR

WAR are a multicultural Californian funk band formed in the late 60s by Jerry Goldstein and Eric Burdon, originally known as "Eric Burdon and War". The band features founder member, singer and keyboard player, Leroy "Lonnie" Jordan. Hits included: "Low Rider", "Spill the Wine" , "Why Can't We Be Friends?", "The World is a Ghetto" and "Summer".

They released their debut album, "The Black-Man's Burdon" in 1970, followed by: "Eric Burdon Declares "War" (also in 1970), "All Day Music", "War" (both 1971), "The World Is a Ghetto" (1972), "Deliver the Word" (1973), "Why Can't We Be Friends?" (1975), "Love Is All Around" (1976), "Platinum Jazz" (1976), "Galaxy" (1977), "Youngblood" (1978), "The Music Band" (1 and 2 in 1979), "Outlaw" (1982), "The Music Band - Jazz" (1983), "Where There's Smoke" (1985), "Peace Sign" (1994), plus 2014's: "Evolutionary".
