Big Star

American rock band formed in Memphis in 1971, reforming in 1993 having split in 1974.

The first album of the 'second era' was 2005's 'In Space'. The band continues to tour with Jon Auer on vocals and guitar. Founding member Alex Chilton passed away in 2010.

Remaining members Jody Stephens and Jon Auer announced Radio City shows to celebrate the album's 50th anniversary with Mike Mills of REM and others.
