The Mars Volta

The Mars Volta are an American, Grammy award-winning progressive rock band formed in 2001 in LA, by guitarist Omar Rodríguez-López and singer Cedric Bixler-Zavala. The band split in 2012, reforming in 2019.

The band features original members,

Omar Rodríguez-López - guitar/ backing vocals/ keys, Cedric Bixler-Zavala - lead vocals, Eva Gardner - bass, plus Marcel Rodríguez-López - percussion, Linda-Philomène Tsoungui - drums and Leo Genovese - keys/ saxophone.

They released their debut album, "De-Loused in the Comatorium" in 2003, followed by: "Frances the Mute" (2005), "Amputechture" (2006), "The Bedlam in Goliath" (2008), "Octahedron" (2009), "Noctourniquet" (2012), plus 2022's: "The Mars Volta".
