Stephen Duffy

British folk-pop and acoustic-rock singer from Birmingham.

Initially a member of Duran Duran, he left to pursue a solo career with '80s hits such as "Kiss Me" and "Icing on the Cake".

In 1986, he formed The Lilac Time with brother Nick Duffy and other members including Clair Worrall and Melvin Duffy and issued a clutch of albums including "Paradise Circus" and "Astronauts".

Other Duffy projects include The Devils in 2002 with Nick Rhodes (Duran Duran) and Me Me Me which featured Alex James (Blur) and Justine Welch (Elastica).

Stephen Duffy has also written songs for Robbie Williams ('Intensive Care'), co-written with Nigel Kennedy on his own album 'Music In Colors' and XTC's Andy Partridge for the 'I Like My Friends' album.
