The Urban Folk Quartet

The Urban Folk Quartet are an award-winning Birmingham-based folk ensemble launched in 2009.

The quartet, who released their self-titled debut album in 2010, are Joe Broughton (fiddle, mandolin, guitar and vocals), Tom Chapman (percussion and vocals), Paloma Trigas (fiddle and vocals) and Dan Walsh (guitar, banjo and vocals).

March 2012 saw the release of their second album, "Off Beaten Tracks", recorded in the middle of this whirlwind world tour, it's both a travelogue of musical snapshots from the road. The band's third album, the first to feature new guitarist/ banjo player Dan Walsh, "The Escape", was released in 2015.
