The Prisoner of Second Avenue

Black-comedy written by Neil Simon.

The 2010 version stars Jeff Goldblum - he plays the part of Mel Edison, husband of Edna, stuck in the hottest summer of the 70s in Manhattan and coping with redundancy and middle-age as he speeds towards a nervous breakdown.

The play was adapted for film in the mid-70s, starring Jack Lemmon and Anne Bancroft.
