The Bad Plus are an American jazz quartet (formerly a trio) who perform standards, own compositions and rock covers, ranging from Black Sabbath, Radiohead, Tears for Fears, David Bowie to Queen.
Members include founder members: Reid Anderson - bass and Dave King - drums. Founder member, pianist Ethan Iversen left the band in 2017, with Orrin Evans leaving in 2021.
Their covers repertoire includes "Comfortably Numb" (Pink Floyd), "Lithium" (Nirvana), "Long Distance Runaround" (Yes) and "Feeling Yourself Disintegrate" (Flaming Lips).
Albums include their 2001 eponymous debut, plus "These Are the Vistas" (2003), "Give" (2004), "Suspicious Activity?" (2005), "Prog" (2007), "For All I Care" (2008), "Never Stop" (2010), "Made Possible" (2012) "The Rite Of Spring" (2014), "The Bad Plus Joshua Redman" (2015), "It's Hard" (2016) and 2018's: "Never Stop II".
