Roy Hudd

[1936 - 2020] Roy Hudd was an actor and presenter from Croydon whose first radio appearance was in the late 50s on "Workers Playtime". His key radio-show was the comical, satirical and topical news-programme "The News Huddlines" (1976 - 2001).

As a theatre actor and performer he has paid many a homage to 'music-hall' and appeared in the BBC TV-series "The Goold Old Days", occasionally impersonating the comedian Max Miller.

His 2009 autobiography was entitled "A Fart In A Colander".
