Jeru the Damaja is an American rapper from Brooklyn, active since 1986.

His key releases have often featured DJ Premier and occasional collaborations with Gang Starr, including his own "The Sun Rises In The East" (1994) and "Wrath Of The Math" (1996) which spawned "Come Clean", "Me and the Papes", "Ya Playin' Yaself" and "You Can't Stop The Prophet".

Other albums include: "Heroz4Hire" (1999), "Divine Design" (2003), "Still Rising" (2007), plus 2014's: "The Hammer".
