[1932 - 1998] Carl Lee Perkins was an American Rock 'n Roll/ rockabilly pioneer born in Tennessee, the majority of whose output was recorded at the legendary Sun Studios.

Carl wrote the song 'Blue Suede Shoes', later covered by Elvis Presley. Other acts who covered Carl's songs include: the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, and Johnny Cash.
