Renowned TV and radio broadcaster, founder and director of Factory Records and the Hacienda nightclub, manager of A Certain Ratio and journalist for the Granada TV channel.
Born in Salford in 1950, he passed away in 2007 and was very much a pivotal figure in the Manchester music/arts scene throughout his life.
