The Selecter are a Coventry-based ska/2-Tone revival band originally formed in 1979, reformed in 1991, split in 2006, reformed in 2010, featuring founder member, Pauline Black.
Founder member, Gaps Hendrickson passed away in 2024.
The original line-up had a string of hits from 1979 - 1981, including "On My Radio", "Three Minute Hero" and "Missing Words".
Albums include their gold-selling 1980 debut "Too Much Pressure (1980), plus "Celebrate the Bullet" (1981), "The Happy Album" (1994), "Pucker!" (1995), "Cruel Britannia" (1998), "The Trojan Songbook - Vol 1 - 3" (1999 - 2001), "Real to Reel" (2003), "Made In Britain" (2011), "String Theory" (2013) and 2015's "Subculture".
