English actor, singer and all-round entertainer, Tommy Steele was arguably England's first 'rock'n'roll star'.
Born in London in 1936, Steele enjoyed chart and film success in the late fifties, going on to appear in a dozen films; most notably 1967's Half a Sixpence.
Steele's West End career has included hits with musicals 'Singin' in the Rain' and 'Scrooge the Musical'.
