The orchestra will be led by award-winning Nitin Sawhney, who is one of the most respected composers of our time. He has won a whole host of accolades for his music; including a MOBO, EMMA, BBC Radio 3 World Music and Culture Crossing Award, South Bank Show award for Popular Music and even a Mercury Prize nomination.

Sawhney will help bring Human Planet to life and give an insight into the relationship between human beings and nature, as explored in the TV series. The show was filmed in over 70 locations across the world and each of the eight episodes looked at a different environment and how the people and tribes adapted to their surroundings; from oceans, desserts and jungles to mountains, rivers and arctic conditions."
