Antonio Sánchez

Mexican jazz drummer who was in Dizzy Gillespie's United Nations Orchestra and also a trio with his former tutor Danilo Perez, with whom Sánchez recorded the Grammy-nominated album 'Motherland'.

Originally from Mexico City, Sánchez moved to New York city in 1999.

He released his debut album as a leader, "Migration" in 2007, followed by: "Live in New York at Jazz Standard" (2010), "New Life" (2013), "Birdman" (2014), "The Meridian Suite" (2015), "Three Times Three" (2015), "Bad Hombre" (2017), plus 2019's: "Lines in the Sand".
