British rapper, musician and record producer from Birmingham, best known for his urban music project, The Streets.
Between 1994 and 2011, The Streets released a succession of high-profile singles and albums including singles 'Dry Your Eyes' and 'Fit But You Know It' and the LP 'Original Pirate Material'. which was nominated for the 2002 Mercury Music Prize.
In 2011, Skinner shelved The Streets in favour of new project The D.O.T., a collaboration with with Rob Harvey of The Music, followed in 2014 by "Tonga" - a collaboration with Murkage Dave.
