Pete Leigh & the Union

Reformed in 1999 as a 4 piece with Pete Leigh (harmonica/ vocals), Rob Weeks (guitars/ vocals), Martin Thomas (drums) and Andy Fraser-Smith (bass).

While enjoying writing and playing their own material they also cover material from the likes of Lightning Hopkins to The Doors. The sound is Blues with an edge. Pete spent some time in Chicago and predominately Memphis learning from the masters and playing with the likes of the late Jimmy King, Little Howlin' Wolf and Mojo Buford, with a two-week stint at the Legends club Beale Street on the Memphis in May festival being one of the highlights. In the Uk the band has played with the likes of Tony McPhee, Dick Heckstall Smith, Zoot Money, Mojo Buford, Steve Freund, Dave Weld and Sean Chambers to name a few. Rob Weeks replaced Bob Forfar on guitars in 2009.
