American guitarist, banjo and fiddle player from New York City who is best known for his performances with the New Lost City Ramblers in the 50s and 60s.

Paley's solo debut, 1953's Folksongs of the Southern Appalachian Mountains, preceded his 11 releases with the Ramblers.

He continues to record into the new century with 2012 seeing the release of the album Roll On, Roll On under the name Tom Paley's Old-Time Moonshine Revue.
