Blue Orchids

Post-punk outfit from Manchester, formed in 1979 by Martin Bramah who had left The Fall after their debut album ('Live at the Witch Trials'). It was 'punk poet' John Cooper Clarke who gave the band their name.

Blue Orchids released their debut album, 'The Greatest Hit (Money Mountain)' in 1982. It reached No 5 on the UK indie chart.
