"Since its inception in 2011 over 1000 performers have taken part in this fantastic competition.
At the first Grand Final in 2011 at The Savoy Theatre in London's West End, Fusion FBS from Barnet were crowned Glee Club Challenge Champions. In 2012, the title was wrestled away from them by current champions Ursuline Academy Ilford's Glee Club at the spectacular Grand Final in IndigO2 at The O2.
The Jack Petchey Glee Club Challenge is not just a competition. The aim of the programme is to inspire young people to perform, to nurture their self-confidence and team working skills and to offer them professional tuition to achieve these goals. We want the Challenge to be an impetus to encourage schools and youth groups to form, set up and continue to promote Glee Club and Show Choirs within their organisations.
"The Jack Petchey Foundation exists to raise the aspirations of young people, to help them take advantage of opportunities and play a full part in society."
