Guitarist and singer-songwriter who was a key member of the early 60s Birmingham blues-scene, the pop-group Spencer Davis Group in the 60s and rock bands Traffic and Blind Faith, before going solo in the late 70s.
His key songs include "While You See A Chance", "Night Train", "Arc Of A Diver", "Valerie" and "Higher Love".
His brother is Muff Winwood, a successful producer whose first success was Dire Straits' debut.
