[1940-1993] Frank Zappa was an influential American composer, singer, guitarist, satirist and filmmaker.
He was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995, awarded the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 1997.
Frank is listed in Rolling Stone magazine's "100 Greatest Artists of All Time" and also its "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time" list.
A prolific musician, Frank released 62 albums in his lifetime, with a further 43 released posthumously.
