London-based electronic-rock and pop band formed in the 80s by Clash guitarist Mick Jones and Don Letts. Various members have passed through the ranks with Jones the only remaining original member.

Their key period was the latter half of the '80s, scoring hits including "E=MC²", "Medicine Show" and "V.Thirteen" - their albums fared better, especially "No10 Upping Street" and "This Is Big Audio Dynamite".

Much of their output drew on hip-hop and reggae-influences with limitless samples.
