Eric Benét

Eric Benét is a multi Grammy-nominated American singer and song-writer. Working as a backing singer, he has lent his voice to recordings by Wayman Tisdale, George Duke, Chris Botti, Jeff Lorber, Boney James and many others.

His 1996 debut album 'True to Myself' sold in modest numbers, but the 1999 follow-up 'A Day in the Life' propelled Benét into the mainstream, with the song "Spend My Life with You" (featuring Tamia) being nominated for a Grammy and hitting the top spot on the US R&B singles charts.

To date, his 2008 album 'Love & Life' has charted the best, reaching number 11 on the US album charts, but 1999's 'A Day in the Life' remains the biggest-seller.

2012 album 'The One' featured a collaboration with Eric's daughter India as well as Lil' Wayne and the 2016 eponymous album featured guest appearances from Tamia, Arturo Sandoval and MC Lyte.
