"When Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean threw themselves to the ice for the climax of their routine for the Bolero at the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo, the judges could find no faults and awarded them the 12 maximum scores of 6.0, while 24-million British viewers watched at home in amazement.
Following that triumphant win, the world became fascinated by ice skating and everyone wanted to know more about the young couple at the heart of it all.
Despite intense interest in them both from media and the public alike, Torvill & Dean kept their lives private, with many still wondering if the pair were really a couple both on and off the ice. They turned professional and would eventually spend 10 glorious years working on ITV's Dancing on Ice, yet with still much of their story remaining untold."
In 2025 the pair will embark on an "Our Last Dance" UK tour.
