Oysterband

Electric folk/ folk-rock band formed in Canterbury in the mid 70s, formerly known as 'The Oyster Band'. Oysterband make a modern, folk-based British music, acoustic at heart, sometimes intense, sometimes rocking. Since formed, they've toured in 35 countries - festivals, concerts, bars, rallies, jails, bring 'em on! - and made 13 studio albums collecting five BBC Folk Awards along the way.

The band features: John Jones (vocal & melodeon), Alan Prosser (guitars & vocal), Ian Telfer (violin, concertina & vocal) and Dil Davies (drums). Former bass player Ray Cooper left the band in February 2013.
