Jake Bugg is an acoustic singer-songwriter and guitarist from Clifton, Nottingham.
Influences include Don Mclean, Donovan, Johnny Cash, Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison, Nick Drake, Kris Kristofferson and Helen Shapiro.
He came to prominence after appearing on the BBC Introducing Stage at Glastonbury 2011 and having his "Country Song" used in a beer advert. Other familiar songs include: "Lightning Bolt", "Two Fingers" and "Broken".
Bugg released his self-titled debut-album in 2012 (nominated for a 2013 Barclaycard Mercury Prize), followed by: "Shangri La" (2013), "On My One" (2016), "Hearts That Strain" (2017), "Saturday Night, Sunday Morning" (2021), plus 2024's: "A Modern Day Distraction".
