He launched a popular TV travel documentary series, which started with "Around the World in 80 Days with Michael Palin", spawning: "Full Circle with Michael Palin", "Sahara with Michael Palin", "Himalaya with Michael Palin", "Michael Palin's New Europe", "Brazil with Michael Palin", "Michael Palin in North Korea Into Iraq", and "There and Back".
