Indie-rock band formed in 1981, originally from Leicester.

They were initially part of the successful Food record label (Blur, Jesus Jones, Voice Of The Beehive, Crazyhead) in the late 80s and released their debut single "When The Hoodoo Comes" in 1987.

Key members include John Butler - vocals and guitar, Rick Wilson - guitar and vocals, Geoff Beavan - bass and David 'Moth' Smith - drums.

Their debut album "Shakespeare Alabama" from 1989, was a moderate success, helped by the singles "Like Princes Do", "All The Myths On Sunday" and "Jackie's Still Sad".
