English punk/new-wave band formed in in 1976 by guitarist/ singer Pete Shelley, who passed away in 2018 and writer Howard Devoto (later to form Magazine).
The most recent line-up included Pete Shelley - vocals and guitar, Steve Diggle (present since '76) - vocals and guitar, Chris Remmington - bass and Danny Farrant - drums.
Their key period was from 1978 to 1980 and spawned memorable hits such as "Ever Fallen In Love (With Someone You Shouldn't Have)", "Promises", "Everybody's Happy Nowadays", "What Do I Get", "Harmony In My Head" and "Love You More".
Albums include "Another Music in a Different Kitchen" and "A Different Kind of Tension".
