Northside

Manchester-based indie-dance-psycehdelia band formed in 1989 and very much a part of the "Madchester" era.

Key members include Warren Dermody - vocals, Cliff Ogier - bass, Michael Upton - guitar and Paul Walsh - drums.

Their debut single, "Shall We Take A Trip?", was banned by the BBC for its mentions of LSD throughout the intro.

The one and only album "Chicken Rhythms" was issued on Factory in 1991 and produced by Ian Broudie, spawning a hit single "My Rising Star" during the same year.
